Child care is available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our Andrew Hunter Elementary School – Child Care Centre and Kid‘s Club program provides your child with a seamless transition from school to child care. Children are encouraged to share ideas and interests while engaging in programs that balance recreation and extended learning opportunities from the school day. By providing opportunities to develop confidence and skill as leaders, thinkers, and creators; our programs promote social interaction, collaboration, and invention. qualified educators encourage your infant to be curious, explore, and discover with their senses. Our Barrie child care staff utilizes both our infant-friendly facilities and our outdoor spaces to provide your young one with a stimulating early childhood experience.

The toddler and preschool programs are developed by qualified educators who strive to inspire wonder and curiosity: exploration and experimentation; and excitement of learning in all the children. Our educators use play-based methodologies to ensure that your child learns in a manner that is developmentally appropriate to them; building on curiosity, social skills, self-regulation, and play.

Our Barrie child care programs encourage parent input, contribution and participation.
